It worked; so I continued to jot things down.
I used it to store photos, scribble notes, write journal entries etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Years ago my blog was always set to private, but these days any old body can wander around it, leave comments, inane, meaningful, or anywhere in between.
I suppose I am mixture of standard member of society with a leaning towards Urban ecologist, dumpster diving freebie hunting, recycling, anti-consumerist, nihilist, hedonist, altruistic, free spirit with a multitude of religious beliefs rolled into one and that religion is me. I used to keep a handwritten diary but spending so much time on the computer with work and what have you it just made more sense to keep a blog, even though all the important revelations that happen in my life are still entered into my leather bound journals and kept for posterity.
Years ago I had a dream to sell up and sail away to the south china seas and never return to land based living. Life got in the way as it usually does. Now that I am older and wiser and detest the moral apathy of society I am inclined to resurrect that dream.
My hobbies and interests include but are not limited to, Allotments, Border Collies, Cooking, Crafting, Crafting from junk, Diary keeping, Foraging, Freegan, Frugalism, Gardening, Knitting, Making a mess, Reading, Recycling, Self Sufficiency, Sailing, Simple Living,Walking, Taking bad photographs, Sitting outside with my Sister who lives next door and drinking wine whilst we put the world to rights and come up with hair brained schemes to enhance out frugal existence.
I love reading others peoples Daily Diary type blogs; they are far more interesting and insightful than sensationalist, band wagon, media related content. In my opinion, none of the social media sites out there can compete with a good collection of blog feeds.
